Ever wonder who or what started “hair metal”?
Most rock historians trace it to the 1983 breakout release from Quiet Riot, Metal Health.
Between MTV and rock radio, the tracks, “Metal Health” and “Cum on Feel the Noize”, were inescapable. By the time I got back to school in the fall of 1983 everyone was all one about this “new band” Quiet Riot as they blasted it from boom boxes all over bus stops, play grounds, a school cafeterias.
So take your spandex out of moth balls because on this week’s Loudini Rock & Roll Circus podcast we will break down the album that started the hair metal craze… Quit Riot’s Metal Health.
